LA ISETTA DI BRIGHTON

The Isetta was born in Italy thanks to Iso in 1953, but the most famous version was produced by BMW in Germany.

Between 1957 and 1962 it was also manufactured in the United Kingdom, at BMW’s Brighton factory, by the British subsidiary.

The British Isetta was equipped with a 250 cc or 300 cc single-cylinder BMW engine.

The real British peculiarity was that it was built with three wheels (instead of the original four) so that it could be classified as a motorcycle.
This allowed owners to pay lower taxes, lower insurance costs, and to drive it with a motorcycle license.
It was a huge advantage in post-war United Kingdom.

We discovered this extremely rare example in a garage, beautifully and perfectly restored.
